About Dr. Alan Green
Helping people, studying and observing the perfection in nature, problem solving
and the expression of my creativity as an artist are all part of what I value in being a dentist.
I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1981. As an undergraduate my interests ranged from engineering and philosophy to botany and biology. As a graduate student I did research in neurophysiology. I am amazed that all these fields appear in the dental office almost every day.
In 1983, I became a mercury-free dentist and began studying the many aspects of holistic medicine. Nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, Oriental Medicine, bodywork, spiritual healing, and holistic dentistry are all areas of holistic medicine I have explored. My advanced dental studies have included periodontics, implants, complex prosthetics, pain and TMJ problems.
In August 1993, Boulder, Colorado became my new home. I named the dental practice Natural Dentistry, reflecting my holistic and naturopathic philosophy.
For over 27 years I have worked to help people attain health by uncovering underlying causes of disease, delivering the finest in the art of technical dentistry and utilizing alternative medicine modalities.
How I work with my clients
"Together with my clients I investigate their present dental health conditions. Then we develop an understanding of the causes of the problems. Using this understanding the client and I develop a treatment plan which will create a healthier situation. After the client and I have created our treatment plan I provide dental services in a healthful, compassionate and fun manner." - Dr. Alan Green
"Approach of holistic dentist aims for positive experience"
Dr. Alan Green is a holistic dentist who uses a humanistic approach to ensure his patients a comfortable, positive dental experience while making sure he abides by the physician's oath to "do no harm"... - from the Boulder County Business Report
How I Learned Holistic Dentistry
"Dental School didn't teach me Holistic Dentistry - my patients did. For the last 21 years, it's been patients like you who've shown me what really matters. That utilizing the latest dental research along with holistic medicine and folk wisdom, will create dental health. I believe that what you think and feel and the lifestyle choices you make everyday affect your dental health in a big way." - Dr. Alan Green
